Emma Living with bipolar I disorder, Not an Actual Patient

Not an actual patient.

Emma

Diagnosis: Bipolar I Disorder Age: 32

Emma values being social and spending time with family and friends. She currently works in administration.

Medical History

  • Two psychiatric hospitalizations in the past year due to manic episodes
  • Family has reported verbal aggression or arguing during those episodes

Current Presentation

  • Currently stable on oral aripiprazole
  • Has not experienced recurrence of a mood episode in the past four months

Treatment Consideration

  • In the past, Emma would occasionally skip doses of her daily oral aripiprazole, especially when she was feeling better
What could once-every-two-months ABILIFY ASIMTUFII® (aripiprazole) or once-monthly ABILIFY MAINTENA® (aripiprazole) mean for Emma?

Before my BP-I symptoms were stable, my family saw someone out of control, arguing, sad, and detached. I worry about my family and friends seeing me like that again.

Meet a hypothetical patient living with schizophrenia for whom ABILIFY MAINTENA or ABILIFY ASIMTUFII may be an appropriate treatment option.
